Whilst most members are aware that we have Gina Kennedy, currently World No 7, based at the Club and trained by Ben Ford, we also have several other members who have had an amazing season, whether it be representing their Country, winning and reaching finals of main Open events or making it onto the professional circuit. There have been some fantastic successes this season that we would like to share with you.

In the Adults:

  • Gina Kennedy continued her rise up the world rankings, winning the German and Manchester Opens and reaching No.5 in the world.
  • Isabel McCullough, who at the age of 19 years enjoyed a successful first year as a professional player, winning two Professional Squash Association (PSA) satellite titles and moving up to 141 in the world rankings
  • Robert Smith and Mandy Akin were both selected to play for the England Masters team in the Home International. Calum Reid was also selected to represent Scotland in the same event.
  • Mandy Akin won the British Open Masters
  • Karen Hume and Tim Richards were runners up at the British Open Masters.
  • Keeley Johnson won the Portuguese Open Masters event

In the Juniors:

  • Dylan Roberts won the British Under 17 Championships and was selected to represent England at the European and World Junior Championships
  • Josh Deubert and Kylen Calder made the final of their first major events
  • Renata Colabella was runner up at the English Junior Championships and the French Junior Open.

I am sure you will all join us in congratulating everyone on these outstanding achievements and to Ben Ford for all that he offers to the Club and the players.
